The World of Arret

 

Plains drakka are related to drakka but not the same species. They are like leopards to a snow leopard. If they breed the offspring will be sterile. They live in vast, dry, grasslands with little water. Plains drakka live in prides with one or two lead females and the rest are males and unmated females. Most prides number 10-15. They hunt together and raise the lead females eggs together. They have no fire breath, they can only make smoke. They use the smoke to confuse prey and make a kill. They have barbed tails that they use to fight off predators and compete for mates. Their colors are all faded, not bright like the mountain drakka.

-Live up to 200 years

-Live in prides of 10-15

-Lead females mate with multiple males

-Some have poisoned tail barbs

-Colors can be almost any color and pattern but the colors are faded

-Have the ability to speak

-Can breathe smoke and work simple magic spells. Not as adept at magic as the Mountain Drakka
